From Email Configuration (Send As)

To send emails from a shared mailbox or another mailbox the authenticated Microsoft 365 user must have Send As permission on that mailbox.

 Sending from another mailbox

1. Login to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
2. Go to Users → Active users and select the mailbox you want to send from
3. Open Mail tab, select Send as permissions and then click Add Permissions button
4. Select the authenticated user (the one used to authorize the plugin) and click Save
5. In Joomla, go to the plugin configuration in Advanced Settings tab and set From Email to the mailbox address you want to send as

Important: The sender display name cannot be overridden per email and is taken from the mailbox configuration in Microsoft 365.

 Sending from a shared mailbox

1. Login to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
2. Go to Teams & groups → Shared mailboxes
3. Click Add a shared mailbox, enter the name and email address, then click Save
4. In Joomla, go to the plugin configuration in Advanced Settings tab and set From Email to the shared mailbox address

Single Tenant Mode (Tenant ID)

Many organizations enforce Single Tenant authentication for security reasons. In this case, the Microsoft login flow must be completed using a tenant-specific endpoint, which requires your Tenant ID.

To enable Single Tenant mode:

1. Go to the plugin’s Settings
2. Locate the field Tenant ID
3. Enter your Azure Directory (tenant) ID

✅ Once saved, the plugin will use your tenant-specific authentication endpoint and Microsoft sign-in should work normally.
